Michael Hudson

Professional photographer for thirty years, living in the Chicago area. I’ve been visiting Acadia every year since 2006, specially during the autumn foliage season and have written two books on Acadia: The Photographer’s Guide to Acadia (e-book) and Under October Skies (coffee table book), and have been leading photography workshops in Acadia for the last three years. I love Acadia and the area around it and know it intimately. It’s never the same place and the light and colors are constantly changing. I also find a lot of photography inspiration in Britain, where I grew up, and all around the US. In my landscape work, I prefer to think of myself as more of an artist with a camera, than just a photographer. In creating art with our cameras, we move beyond snapshots into making more meaningful images.  |  imagesofacadia.com
