Jenn MishraPhotographer

Jennifer Mishra is travel and landscape photographer based in the St. Louis metro area. She loves to travel and has travelled extensively throughout the United States, Europe, and parts of Asia. Even when at home she tries to keep the same sense of adventure – looking for novelty in the everyday; finding the extraordinary in the ordinary. An orchestral musician by profession, she became passionate about her photography a few years ago and found ways to integrate her artistic skills into visual storytelling. Jenn has been awarded a number of solo exhibition including at the St. Charles Foundry as part of their Emerging Artists series and an upcoming solo exhibition of her fine art black and white photography in Kirkwood, Missouri as part of their Art at the Station series. She writes extensively on music including a music textbook published by Oxford University Press.  She is the founder and contributing editor for the photography education PhotoYoga. PhotoYoga is a positive place for photography that focuses on the balance between the technical and artistic sides of photography. It is about integrating photography into a well-balanced life that includes time for nature, for contemplation, for seeing all the world’s beauty. Jenn’s photos have been published in the St. Louis Gateway Magazine and the book “Atlas Obscura: An Explorer’s Guide to the World’s Hidden Wonders”. She also wrote the St. Louis entry for the travel app “Fripito”. |
