Panel discussion

Photography for Conservation

Hosted by: Eric Bennett Panelists: Richard Martin, Colleen Miniuk, Jennifer Renwick, Matt Payne, and Phill Monson Much of the devastation of our wilderness stems from a disassociation with nature. As one can say, “out of sight, out of mind.” If we can photograph a place in the right way, we can cause people to see and appreciate the true value of wild places in their unaltered, natural states. By seeing photographs, people can know better what is at stake when they hear of a certain place that corporations are attempting to mine, log, or develop. Join this dynamic panel discussion that will generate ideas and share thoughts on how we can not only share beautiful photographs, but use our art to teach people to be better stewards of the little wilderness we have left.
