Hosted by: David Kingham
Panelists: Brooks Jensen, Cole Thompson, John Barclay
Listen in as David, Brooks, Cole and John discuss the difference between a “photographer” and an “artist” that works in the medium of photography. A pure photographer might only capture what is around them with little thought given to the final photograph. An artist uses their creative vision to interpret what they see using emotion, composition, processing, etc., to create meaningful work that can be considered fine art photography.
It can be hard to define what makes photography ‘fine art.’ This group panel will help you understand how you can make the jump from being a photographer to being an artist by putting a piece of yourself into your work through discussions and answering your questions.
