Yet these essential elements are often overlooked, or simplified and glossed over. In this session Charlotte Gibb and Michael Frye will take you on a deep dive into this vital topic, showing you how to master the subtleties of light and color so that you can create photographs with a strong message, and powerful emotional impact.

  • How to use light to draw the viewer’s eye and tell a story
  • Subtle, often overlooked qualities of light that can make a big difference
  • Practical application of color theory in the field and in the digital darkroom
  • Recognize and create harmonious color combinations to guide your visual story
