Harold Ross will challenge you to create and photograph a still life – something that, on the surface, seems straightforward. However, in still life, you have to start with virtually nothing, or in other words, a blank slate. Harold will discuss how he approaches composition by not following the rules and avoiding compositional flaws. He’ll also give lighting advice for those wanting to use light painting and discuss some thematic approaches to the challenge. Afterward, you will receive an invitation to share your results at Out of Chicago LIVE! in a group image review.
