Erin's expressive style of landscape photography is an unusual integration of a classical education in the arts with adventurous exploration and progressive in-field and post-processing techniques. In her writing and public speaking, she explores topics with a unique blend of art historical, philosophical, and instructional ideas, an approach that has made her one of the most highly requested speakers among the current generation of landscape photographers.
Erin’s dedication to the medium of photography evolved out of her years in art school and later through working as an art historian. She started out experimenting with with both film and early digital cameras to explore photography’s potential for communicating ideas in graphic design projects. As an art historian, she produced photographs for her Ph.D. dissertation and for teaching undergraduate courses, during which time her interest in photography eventually evolved into a calling of its own.
Erin currently bases her business out of offices on two continents and travels worldwide to teach photography workshops and to speak about the art of landscape photography. She is also a member of the illustrious nature photography team Photo Cascadia.
