Cure your cabin fever with the Winter Conference!
This year marks the second annual Out of Chicago Winter Conference. We’re headed back to the University Center of the College of Lake County in Grayslake, February 18, 2017.
Out of Chicago’s mission is to help you get the most out of your photography. At every event we make sure that not only are you learning new techniques, but that you get a chance to practice them alongside your favorite photographers.
Even though the conference is in the middle of February in Chicago, we’re going to be shooting just as much as we do at the summer conference. In the afternoon, we are transforming the entire wing of the college to our shootout area. Each room will have a different type of photography to practice. You’ll shoot flowers with Anne Belmont, macro with Mike Moats and Shari Miller, architecture with Jim Welninski, water splashes and drops with Nick Sinnott, and models with Giulio Sciorio, Steve Neilson and Scott Lawrence.
You will rotate through each of these shootout locations so that you get a chance to try them all. If you’ve never shot some of these things before, this will be a great chance to try something new. And if you have, you’ll be able to ask questions of the photographers that know it better than anyone.
We will have amazing classes for you as always. Some of our favorite presenters from past years and a couple new ones are ready to knock your socks off! I’ve always considered the winter to be my post-processing season. I love to go back to my favorite images from the past year and try new techniques with them that I learn in the winter. We’ll have plenty of post-processing classes with Nick, Jim and Giulio. And one of my favorite landscape photographers, Michael Hudson, will be teaching landscape photography.
Don’t miss out. You’ll take five classes, shoot at more than 10 shootout stations, see all of the latest equipment from our vendors, hang out with an amazing photo community — and we’ll even get your lunch!
